SUMMARY   Services Excellence Summary

Dr. Omar A. Ibrahimi founded the Connecticut Skin Institute and is its medical director. He has a dermatology board certification and completed fellowships in Skin Cancer Surgery, Laser Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Ibrahimi trained in some of the nation's most respected medical institutions. Dr. Ibrahimi is a leading physician in diagnosing and treating all forms of skin cancer as well as other medical and aesthetic issues that affect the skin. Since 2016, he has received the Castle-Connolly Award for Top Doctors in recognition of his excellent patient care. Skin damage can be caused by the aging process, and sun exposure over a long period of time. Sunspots or brown spots, as well as red blood vessels, may be a concern for some. Others may have superficial or deep wrinkles. There are many treatment options available depending on your skin's predominant features and how much downtime you can tolerate. Our tools and lasers can reduce and eliminate some of the signs of skin ageing while also improving skin texture and tone. The Fraxel Dual is used to try to reduce brown spots, shrink pore size, smooth the texture, and tighten your skin without causing any ablative damage. A fractional resurfacing procedure is also performed using an eCO2 ablative laser. We have a pulsed dye (Vbeam Perfecta) laser that can treat both red and brown marks, and a Spectra Laser to treat brown spots. To determine the best treatment plan, we recommend an individual consult with Dr. Omar Ibrahimi.
