Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education (NSCECE) is an educational institution that's not-for-profit and overseen by a Board of Trustees. We are proud that we have laid the foundations for professional and personal growth at the Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education. The NSCECECE has a 2-year Early Childhood Education Diploma Program (ECE). It is based on decades of research and practice that is developmentally appropriate. The program introduces students to courses that deal with families and children.
They also learn the practices and knowledge necessary for a successful career in ECE. Their studies will focus on designing, implementing, and evaluating appropriate curriculum ideas to help children grow and develop from birth through 12. This program has 870 hours of classroom instruction and 600 hours of practicum. Part-time evening classes are available for students who need flexibility. There are many settings where graduates can find work, such as schools, childcare centers, private homes, nurseries, developmental centers, and schools. After graduation, more than 95% of NSCECE students find ECE jobs.
