Martin Reid began his career in fitness in 2002, after he had finished playing football at the University of Waterloo. He also started a career as a social worker. He realized that fitness could help people feel better. He left the social service to open a personal trainer business, Personal Victory. Martin worked as a professional in both large-box gyms and small boutiques. Martin received his first Pilates mat certificate in 2008 and continues to study this art. Martin realized the value of regular Pilates practice after completing his comprehensive Peak Pilates Pilates certification in 2014. Martin was trained by Chris Robinson at Lili Viola.
