Sirron Norris began his career as an artist in San Francisco after graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Both the de Young Fine Art Museum in San Francisco and the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts have hosted him as an Artist-in-Residence. Norris's impressive contributions to public art are well known, especially his mural, "Victorion: El Defensor de la Mission", located in San Francisco’s historic “Balmy Alley”, which was featured in magazines, books, and advertisements. The Calumet Mural at 18th and Bryant, in Mission District, measures 600 square feet. Norris, with the help of the San Francisco Arts Commission, has contributed to the adornment of pediatric emergency rooms in the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Norris, a multi-faceted artist, has worked in a variety of media, including television, film, and illustrations. He was the main artist for Fox Network's "Bob's Burgers" animated series, where he designed backgrounds and characters. He has also been featured in commercials, advertisements, and the PBS News Hour with Jim Lehrer. Norris is the creator of a political comic called Cityfruit, for which he won the Greater Bay Area Journalism Award in 2017. Sirron currently runs a gallery and studio in San Francisco's Mission District, where he also teaches animation and cartooning.
