Southlight has been occupying five locations in downtown Jacksonville over the last eight years. These spaces range from 3500 square feet to 6000 sq.ft. By securing full-time leasing for all spaces, we helped downtown Jacksonville revitalize. There are no vacancies anymore and the Art Core has taken over. Although our space is beautiful on the First Floor of the Wells Fargo Building, it does not allow us to showcase our members well and can't offer the programs and events that Southlight excels at sponsoring. King Maker Brewery is our ongoing partner in the King Street District. This partnership features the artworks of our members and juried selections by artists from the area. Southlight Gallery has been showcasing the work of local artists for the past 20 years. Since UNF ArtSpace's inception, we have organized 117 art shows. This includes 8 UNF faculty and student exhibitions. The popular ArtWalk monthly openings have hosted over 100 performers from the arts of theater, dance and music. Our venue has also been used as a private event space for United Way, St. Johns Riverkeeper and Duval County Communities and Schools, as well as a variety of corporate sponsors events.
