Miami Dade College's founder, Colonel Mitchell Wolfson has a vision that aims to build a community by providing education for the county's future and current residents. The state of Florida chartered MDC Foundation in 1965 as a non profit organization. Since 1960 when the College was founded, the Wolfson family has been a major supporter of the College and is one of its greatest supporters today. Foundation is very serious about its responsibility as the steward of corporate and individual donor contributions. An Investment Committee made up of professionals in investment ensures that Foundation's underlying assets are well managed. Every year our funds are audited annually by certified public accountants.
