Gene B. Glick Company was founded by a WWII vet who wanted to build homes for his family. Eugene (Gene) Glick was the founder of the company, which was established in Indianapolis in 1947. By the 1960s, it had become the most successful single-family home builder within Indiana. Glick's first apartment complex was built in 1962. By the middle of the 1970s, the company had shifted to multifamily housing management and development.
