Lauric’s paintings are a unique reflection of the diverse experiences of her professional and personal life. Oana Lauric, an American born in Romania who lived in France for 10 years and painted in Paris. Oana holds a French Architect Degree and a Romanian Fine Arts Baccalaureate. After working as an architect in France and the USA for many years, she became a professional painter in 2001. Her art studio, located in Boston USA's historic Fenway Studios, is open today. My paintings explore the influence of our surroundings on our mentality. The environment we create influences our behavior. I see my paintings as a journey, an exploration of space and time. They are a reflection of the dynamic view we have created. My intention is to convey the strength of our environment through light, shadows, chromatic intensity and depth, or rhythms and textures.
