SUMMARY   Services Excellence Summary

Frank H. Carr was the founder of Carr Funeral Service. He became licensed as an embalmer and funeral director in March 1926. Frank started his business in Charlestown with storefront offices. All wakes were held at the home of the decedents. Frank purchased a Charlestown house at 220 Bunker hill Street in 1945 and made it a funeral home. Frank, and his wife Anne, had nine children as he pursued his career in funeral services. Frank participated in many civil and social activities in Charlestown. He was a member of Bunker Hill Council #62 Knights of Columbus, where he organized trips to different locations for Charlestown residents. The club was later known as Club 62. Frank Carr was an extremely dignified, humble man. He knew that Charlestown residents could count on him in their worst times. Frank H. Carr died on January 1, 1984, while packing his bag to travel with Club 62.
