Clinton & Muzyka P.C. is a law firm. Thomas J. Muzyka founded the maritime defense firm in 1984 with Thomas E. Clinton. We have been representing clients in New England and internationally in maritime defense since opening. Our specialization is marine protection insurance and indemnity. On a pro hac vice basis, our attorneys are licensed to practice in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. Thomas J. Muzyka is the managing shareholder of the firm, with Robert E. Collins as associates, John Bromley and Gregg Lysko. Brad Gandrup and Kenneth Corson are also members. Our practice was initially focused on civil maritime litigation and vessel owner maritime support. Our practice has expanded into tort litigation, insurance defense, and commercial litigation. This includes but is not limited to worker's comp, workers' compensation, subrogation, product liability, and labor agreements. Over the last few years, both the insurance and maritime industries have been severely affected by rising defense costs. In addition, the local litigation awards as well as interest rates and costs have increased dramatically. This has further worsened this financial situation. As a result of these conditions, we implemented a more affordable and diverse approach to handling maritime claims and insurance.
