In 2017, Paul Novak, Diana Gjonaj, and Gregory Stamatopoulos opened the Detroit office of Weitz & Luxenberg. The tight-knit team allows them to work together closely, which helps us better serve clients. Weitz & Luxenberg can now have a presence physically in the center of the United States, the "heart" if you like. Our presence on the ground allows us to carry on our tradition of successfully obtaining major financial settlements and verdicts for clients. This also places us close to some of the worst cases of water contamination that are happening today. Weitz & Luxenberg stands up for those who are injured by the greed or negligence of corporations. The Mayo Clinic states that minor bites of animals often break the skin but the deeper punctures are more severe. Other times, the skin is severely torn or crushed, and may even be bleeding. Dog attacks may cause disfiguring or fatal injuries. A serious bite requires immediate medical care. If the dog is not properly vaccinated, the risk of contracting rabies is present. In the absence of records, it is assumed that there's a risk. Medical treatment (rabies injections) should be started.
