Serving clients since 1995 Consensus was founded in 1993 and initially focused on large scale initiatives like joint venture partnerships or mergers and acquisitions that involve public companies. Although our role was primarily strategic, negotiation was an important part of all engagements. As the Internet became an increasingly important part of the global economy, we began to see more variety in our engagements and started including emerging businesses on our client list. Our clients began to require us to negotiate partnerships, privatizations, divestitures and mergers. This involved working with both start-ups and well-established multinational corporations. We were established as relationship and negotiation specialists by the beginning of the new millennium and actively participated in Harvard Law School’s Harvard Negotiation Project. We established a Training & Development department in 2000. In 2006 we added an international Peace Building service to our services. Consensus has participated in diplomatic negotiations, hostage negotiation, coaching and executive training, as well as more than $1 Billion of international business transactions.
