Michael Brustein, a New York City clinical psychologist offers psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and teenagers in his private New York City practice. As an adjunct professor at Albert Einstein Medical School and as a teacher of psychotherapy techniques and abnormal psychology at William Paterson University and Brooklyn College, Dr. Brustein also taught classes on group therapy and psychotherapy. Additionally, Dr. Brustein served as an attending psychologist in Montefiore Medical Center. He was also a supervisor psychologist at James J. Peters VA Medical Center. There he conducted suicide prevention research and mentored psychology interns and medical residents. Dr. Brustein also wrote Perfectionism: A Guide to Mental Health Professionals. This book is among the first to discuss how clinicians can manage perfectionist clients.
