Ruchi Kotahwala, a New York jeweler and designer, discovered her passion for jewelry and gemstones as a young girl in Mumbai (India), where vibrant and colorful jewels were a part of daily life and celebrations. Ruchi believes that exceptional jewels have a positive energy and is beautiful to look into. Ruchi is both a dreamer as well as an entrepreneur. She began making jewelry when she was 16 years old. Later, Ruchi received a degree in design from the Gemological Institute of America, Carlsbad. With her husband from Jaipur, she turned her passion into an entrepreneur. Ruchi was able to access some of the most extraordinary and exotic stones in the world through her family's gem business, which gave Ruchi the opportunity for Ruchi New York's collection.
