Turf Landscape Design Inc's managing partner Ziv Lavi is responsible for overseeing the operation and direction of his company, which he established in 2003. He has been responsible for the design and construction on numerous projects, including residential, federal, municipal and commercial. For more than 8 years, Mr. Lavi was an associate urban designer and sustainability expert for the New York City Department of City Planning. He was a member of the New York City Department of City Planning for over 8 years. He was a part of the Mayoral Stormwater Mitigation Special Task Force, which worked together with other city agencies to find innovative solutions for NYC's stormwater runoff problems. He was also responsible for overseeing various projects to improve municipal open spaces while at the City of New York's Office of the chief urban designer. He contributed to Zoning Handbook: Guide for NYC's Zoning Resolution. PLANYC, 'a greener greater New York' and New York City Street Design Manual. His participation in the Queens Plaza Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvement, which is worth $76 million, was a part of the selection committee. He also lectures on Landscape Urbanism and Urban Revitalization. He holds a bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture and a master's degree in Urban Planning, both from the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture Urban Design & Landscape Architecture of New York. Amanda Switzer has more than 20 years experience in design and brings that knowledge to Turf Landscape + Urban Design. She continues her exploration of environmental design, restoration of native plants, and remediation. Amanda was the owner and operator of Gardening Concepts, a East Hampton-based company that specialized in residential landscaping. Many of Hampton's palatial estates were designed by Ms. Switzer, who applied her knowledge of innovative building technology and ecological engineering best practices to every project. She holds a bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture at The Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture Urban Design & Landscape Architecture of New York. Her landscapes are included on the Hamptons garden tours. For the last 20 years, she's been designing landscapes for Kelly and Calvin Klein. This includes homes in Palm Springs East or South Hampton. Amanda is also an expert in commercial design on Long Island. Amanda is also an expert in landscape architecture. She has been a guide on fly fishing trips around Long Island, leading celebrities as well as the less famous. Amanda is also skilled in interior design, photography, video editing, and editing.
