The Apprenticeship program offers students an opportunity to study theory and practice in the first 50 percent. Students will then spend the remaining fifty percent learning on the job at a salon, barbershop, or spa. You will be trained as an apprentice under the supervision of a licensed instructor. As an apprentice you'll also learn from a certified Cosmetologist or Esthetician while working in a nail tech, master barber, and a Nail Tech, Master Barber, with at least 10 year experience. An apprenticeship can offer a great alternative to traditional cosmetology schools. After the completion of fifty percent of the program, the student can sit for Tennessee Theory. Upon the completion of apprenticeship hours (last fifty%) the student is eligible to sit for Tennessee Practical Examination.
