Clearview has successfully acquired profitable assets in almost every year since its foundation. However, we have focused on acquisitions after "busts", such as the Savings and Loans Crisis of late 1980s and the early 1990s and the Global Financial Crisis (2007-2008), and increased asset dispositions when "booms” mature. As valuations have risen while the economic outlook has darkened, we have slowed our acquisition activity but continue to evaluate defensive-oriented real estate as well as the proverbial "needle-in-the-haystack" opportunities.
