The Meadows School of the Arts was established in 1969 at SMU and named after Algur H. Meadows. It is one of the most prestigious arts education institutions in the United States. Meadows School provides undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a unique mix of arts, including visual (art history, creative computation), and performing (dance and music) as well as communications (advertising, film and media arts, corporate communication, public affairs, journalism, and advertising).
