My name is Patricia Contreras. Courageous Mind Counseling was founded by me. Therapy is meant to heal you spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. To live a more fulfilling life, we need to have a healthy lifestyle. Our bodies are made to support each other. Everyone has the need to be together. The first step to healing is exploring and sharing your feelings. You can count on me to be compassionate and to share the journey with you. My belief is that people should treat each other the way they would want to be treated. I also believe in showing compassion and love. Therapy can help you make changes in your own life and in your relationships. With the help of therapy tools and new understandings about your brain and body, you will be able to achieve greater change faster. I am driven to assist you in finding healing and peace. This includes integrating interpersonal neurobiology with structural and Bowenian methods. You will feel safe and able to explore your thoughts and feelings in a secure environment. As a facilitator, I am both a direct and collaborative agent of positive change. Strategic and Structural Functionalism and Family Stress are some of the methods I use. Intergenerational and biopsychosocial theories are also used. Integrity, trust, safety and patience are all key ingredients in the healing process. Each person is unique and my therapy approach will be tailored to meet their needs. All that we have, including compassion, empathy and kindness, as well as love, understanding, forgiveness, and patience are a result of God.
