Genesis 21 was founded by an El Paso woman in 1997. It is a Hispanic management consulting company. The Small Business Administration recognized Genesis 21 for its outstanding service in rural and remote communities in 2018. Genesis 21 received the National SBA Administrator's Certificate of Excellence and the SBA District Women in Business Advocate Award in 2002. Our company was recognized by Yale School of Management and Goldman Sachs Foundation as one of the Top Three Percent (3%) in 2003 for its ability to plan business. El Paso Community College selected Genesis 21 to rebuild its foundation in 2009. We raised more than $2,000,000 and provided scholarships for over $200,000 to the Foundation. Genesis 21 was chosen to manage the HUD-funded business incubator located in Presidio Texas, in 2014. We have also been involved in offering individual and group consultations to rural West Texas residents. Ronald Congleton, Texas Workforce Commissioner selected Genesis 21 to speak at the National Association of Governmental Labor Officials' annual meeting in 2014.
