Costa's Gym was established in 1980 by Mark Costa. It has remained a favorite destination for bodybuilders and athletes throughout the 1980s. In 2008, George Porter bought the gym. The gym has been operating in Houston for more than 40 years. It is Houston's 2nd-oldest private owned gym. The Houston institution is home to many generations.
