Maria Holsman, a Washington State licensed Clinical Psychologist, specializes in neuropsychological and psychological evaluations of clinical and forensic populations. The American Psychological Association fully accredited her program at Seattle Pacific University with a Doctorate of Philosophy. She completed her internship at Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System and a post-doctoral fellowship. Her rotations included adult and geriatric neuropsychological evaluations and mental illness research. Following his graduation, Dr. Holsman completed two years of post-doctoral training. The first was with the University of Washington and involved clinical research as well as neuropsychological testing. This focused on the cognitive and mood effects of testosterone. Rotations in Rehabilitation Psychology (Spinal Cord Injury), General Rehab and Poly-Trauma Care were part of the second year fellowship at VA Puget Sound. These settings included psychological and neuropsychological assessments for various population groups, including individuals with Traumatic brain Injury or PTSD. Although Dr. Holsman is experienced in providing group and individual psychotherapy for Veterans, Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatric Populations, her main focus on clinical and forensic psychology and neuropsychological services. Her current focus is on Veterans with neuropsychological and psychological conditions, who claim compensation/pension from VA Puget Sound.
