App Technologies was formed in 2000 by the merger of two Progress Software consulting companies: Data Perspectives, founded in 1989 and Information Discovery Consultants, established in 1996. Each of the companies' consultants had strong backgrounds in Progress Software development going back to around mid-1980s. This merger resulted in a powerful organization capable of serving the Progress community. App Technologies provides Progress Software development services and consultations in areas such as project management, system analysis and system design (Progress Web GUI and character), Progress Database administration, and Progress Software training.
