Pop! Group Show is a mix of pop-ups and group shows. It features the works of three Milwaukee women artists who have met through the maker community. Craft markets and craft shows are often considered far more important than gallery shows. This exhibition brings together three female artists who met in the local maker scene. The work of each artist can cross the boundary between craft and art, and this exhibit will show how they can make their practices fit into both. Allie Fritsch, a stained glass artist from Milwaukee, WI is Allie Fritsch. She fell in love with glass when she was in high school's stained-glass class. The art of glass cutting can be difficult to transport with so Allie put away her glass cutter when she set off for college. She never thought they would ever meet again. Allie found her glass cutter again when she set up coolAFglass. It was just a few months after the pandemic, while Allie was still stuck in her apartment at college. She continues to experiment with different types of transparency, colors and textures in her ever-evolving designs. Allie enjoys creating custom pieces and designing them. Her emotions drive the creations.
