Milwaukee Ballet, founded in 1970, was born out of a desire to provide a place for professional dancers to excel. One constant remained as the Company expanded and changed under the direction of new artistic directors: a desire to establish Milwaukee and the art form in the world. Milwaukee Ballet’s mission is to transform lives by inspiring performances, engagement in the community, and education and training. Our company is an international dance company, a thriving School & Academy as well as a force of change for the community with our outreach and engagement program. The arts have a great power and we believe dance is for everyone; whether on the stage, behind the scenes, or in the studio. It should also be available to the public and in workplaces.
