Richard represents clients at all levels of Court in British Columbia, and the Yukon. His experience includes jury and non-jury trials for allegations like murder, manslaughter and sexual offences. He also has significant knowledge in fraud, dangerous offender hearings and serious driving offenses. He is a successful appealer in British Columbia Court of Appeal and Court of Appeal for Yukon. The Review Board, which is responsible for assessing the mental health needs of those who are not necessarily criminally guilty or unfit for trial, has seen him. In B.C., he represents his clients at courthouses. He represents clients in courthouses across B.C., Yukon and Youth Court. Richard is a skilled member of a team that works on complex, large-scale cases. He was co-counsel for David Gibbons Q.C., and managed a team that represented one of the Air India accused. upon the successful defense of ex-B.C. Premier Glen Clark was convicted of fraud and breach of trust. Richard is on the Trial Lawyer's Association of British Columbia's Board of Governors. He is also a Director of Canadian Council of Criminal Defence Lawyers. Additionally, he has been a director of BC Association of Legal Aid Lawyers and Treasurer of Western Front Foundation.
