Rishi's love for Vancouver and British Columbia stems from deep roots. His grandpa moved to the city in 1906, and the Gill family has lived in BC for the past century. Rishi has distinguished himself as a recognized person in the law community, which he is happy to serve, and is frequently sought by the local and national press for opinion on legal topics. Rishi's legal career began after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia at the Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria. He finished a four-month full-time term at the UVIC Law Centre Legal Clinic while still a student, where he handled several trials for the accused.
