Island Rhythmics, a small gym that specializes in gymnastics, is located in Victoria BC. To offer an exceptional training experience, we have nationally-certified coaches as well as highly respected specialists. The recreational class teaches apparatus skills using the rope, hoop, and ball as well as ribbons, scarves, and ribbons. We also develop apparatus skills. Participants will learn balance, turn and jump techniques and be challenged to improve their awareness of each other. Each participant will be challenged according to their abilities throughout class and session. These skills will be combined with musical expression in a performance at the end of each session. Pre-school and recreational programs aim to inspire a passion for rhythmic gymnastics. They also teach basic skills and provide a challenging but high-success environment. The class is led by highly qualified coaches who demonstrate the movements. They then increase the challenge and difficulty for the participants based on the individual's abilities.
