HERS was founded in 1972 and proudly acts as a hub and network of resources for women who want to make advancements at their institutions and themselves. HERS has been making great progress in the promotion of women in higher education for nearly 50 years. HERS recognizes that there are still many things to do and will continue to work hard to make sure more diversity and equal opportunities for college and university leadership. HERS (Higher Education Resource Services), a leadership and research organization, is committed to building and maintaining a diverse network of women-identified higher education leaders. HERS offers program participants transformational opportunities and experiences that will help them build stronger institutions of higher learning through a variety of programs. HERS strongly believes in the importance of women being leaders. It is not enough for them to have a voice or perspective.
