Since 1983, I have been teaching ballet, tap dance, jazz, pointe and fitness classes in Richmond to students ranging from age 3 to 80. Every year, for an audience exceeding 2,000, I direct, choreograph and costume performances at the Scottish Rite Temple. Also, I teach dance in local private and nursery schools. I've lived in Richmond my entire life. I graduated from Hermitage High School, and went to Longwood College. Coralease Wells taught me to dance at the age of four. This became my passion. I studied dance with well-known artists in New York, Washington, D.C., Myrtle Beach, and Orlando, including Fedor Lensky, Violette Verdy, Thalia Mara, Luigi, Roni, Debbie Dee, Karen Hebert, Debbie Dee, Frank Hatchett, Al Gilbert, Thommie, Walsh, Jerry Rose, among others. As a young child, I performed with the Richmond Ballet Company. Other students of my dance school entertained me at Fort Lee Hotel and John Marshall Hotel. Many years ago, I worked as an assistant at the Wells School of Dance. The young child is presented in an artistic way to help develop their coordination, poise, and grace. The program is designed to ensure that each child makes progress according to their age, physical abilities, and ability. This class is an introduction to Classical Ballet, with an emphasis on barre, technique, and the center. This class will cover basic tap sounds, simple steps, and combinations.
